TERMS & CONDITIONS AND LIABILITY RELEASE

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all craft workshops, events, and activities (collectively, “Events”) provided by Portland Craft Circle (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By registering for or attending an Event, you (“Participant,” “you,” or “your”) agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility & Registration
1.1. Participants must register online through the Company’s website or approved registration platform.
1.2. By registering, you certify that all information provided is accurate and that you are at least 18 years old, or that a parent/guardian has registered and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Event Description
2.1. The Company hosts craft-based events at various pop-up locations. Activities may include, but are not limited to, painting, linocut block printing, collage, crafting with sharp tools, inks, adhesives, and other art materials.
2.2. All materials are provided unless otherwise stated. Participants are responsible for following instructions and safety guidelines at all times.
3. Assumption of Risk
3.1. You understand and acknowledge that participation in craft activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Use of sharp tools (e.g., carving tools, scissors, linocut blades)
Use of paints, inks, adhesives, and other potentially messy or staining materials
Risk of slips, trips, or falls at event venues
Exposure to allergens, fumes, or irritants
Accidental injury caused by your own actions or the actions of others
3.2. You voluntarily assume all such risks, whether known or unknown.
4. Release of Liability
4.1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless the Company, its owners, employees, contractors, instructors, agents, venue partners, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, damages, injuries, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to your participation in any Event.
4.2. This release includes, without limitation, claims related to:
Personal injury, illness, or death
Property damage or loss (including clothing or personal items stained or damaged by craft materials)
Accidents or incidents occurring at the Event location
Actions or negligence of other participants or venue staff
4.3. You agree not to file any lawsuit, claim, or demand against the Company relating to any Event.
5. Health & Safety
5.1. By attending an Event, you confirm that you are physically able to participate in the craft activities offered.
5.2. You acknowledge responsibility for disclosing any allergies, sensitivities, or health concerns to the instructor prior to participation.
5.3. The Company may remove any participant whose behavior endangers themselves or others.
6. Personal Property
6.1. Participants are solely responsible for their personal belongings at Events.
6.2. The Company is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
7. Photography & Media Release (Optional Section)
By attending an Event, you grant the Company permission to photograph or record the Event and to use such images or recordings for promotional, commercial, or educational purposes, without compensation. If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify the instructor at check-in.
8. Cancellations & Refunds
8.1. Event fees are refundable with a 24-hour or longer notice.
8.2. The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule Events for any reason, including low attendance or venue issues. In such cases, participants will be offered a credit or refund.
9. Conduct
Participants agree to behave respectfully toward others and to follow all instructions provided by the Company and venue staff. The Company may refuse participation or remove anyone who behaves disruptively.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claims or damages arising out of your actions, negligence, or violation of these Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which the Event takes place, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
12. Acknowledgment & Acceptance
By checking the box during registration and attending the Event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions and the Liability Release.
