Anyone curious about trying a new art process, experimenting with natural materials, or creating a handmade keepsake from their time at Camp Bramble. This beginner-friendly workshop is designed for all experience levels—no previous art or craft experience needed.
Learn the basics of cyanotype, an early photographic printing process first developed in the 1840s and famously used by botanist Anna Atkins to document plant specimens. Using sunlight and light-sensitive materials, cyanotype creates beautiful blue-and-white botanical prints.
In this workshop, Lindsey and Cleo will guide you through the process of creating your own cyanotype tote bag. You'll learn how the process works, select botanicals and materials to create your design, and experiment with composition and placement before exposing your tote to sunlight.
Your organic canvas tote bags will come pre-treated so that the workshop time can focus on learning the technique, creating your design, and enjoying the process. You'll rinse your tote after the workshop, and it will be ready to take home on Sunday filled with your Camp Bramble memories.
